How do the free samples work?

We automatically include one free sample with every order. If you want to try something in particular, feel free to let us know in your order notes. If you don't ask for something specific, we'll surprise you! Due to cost, we do not provide free samples for saffron or cardamom.

What payment methods do you accept?

We have a variety of available payment options. We accept all major credit cards including VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club. We also accept Paypal, and Amazon Payments. And if you're shopping with an iPhone/iPad, you can use Apple Pay.

What is your shipping policy?

We pack and ship every order either same day or next day and primarily ship via the US Postal Service. We offer free shipping on all orders of $15 or more. We do not ship internationally. To learn more about our shipping options and practices, see our Shipping Info page.

What if I want to return something?

We want you to love everything you receive from Spice Alley. If you receive an item that does not meet your expectations, please let us know right away. To request a return/refund, email us at hello@spicealley.com with your customer contact info and we will do our very best to resolve the issue quickly. Unfortunately, we cannot process returns / refunds / replacement items for orders over 30 days old.

Do you have a physical store location?

We do not have a physical store location. Spice Alley is an online spice shop, which means without the overhead of a retail shop, we are able to pass our savings along to you in the form of fair everyday prices, regular sales and discount offers, and a lower minimum order for free shipping than competing online spice merchants.

Where do you get your products?

After a ton of research and product testing, we selected suppliers for each of our spices that meet all USFDA guidelines and provide extraordinarily fresh product. All of our spices are non-GMO and contain no additives. Long story short, we put a lot of work into finding excellent product!

Are your spices organic?

As mentioned above, all of our spices are non-GMO and do not contain any additives. However, they are not certified organic. Almost all spices (in general) are sourced from regions outside of North America. U.S. regulations for organic certification require expensive supplies and practices that rural independent farmers simply cannot afford. We choose to support the small farmers who have been using safe and sustainable practices (without certification) for generations. We also feel pretty strongly about offering quality products at price points that are accessible to all at-home cooks.

Will you be expanding selection?
